FMCSA/ACOEM Research Fellowship Program - Biography of Philip Parks, MD, MPH

Dr. Philip D. Parks, MD, MPH, is the 2008 FMCSA/ACOEM Medical Research Fellow and is currently Chief Resident and a Clinical Research Fellow in the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency program at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, MA. Dr. Parks is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, and completed his undergraduate degree at Davidson College in Davidson, NC. Dr. Parks’ research is focused on promoting public health and public safety by investigating the experience of implementing ACOEM/NSF/ACC guidelines recommending the surveillance and screening for obstructive sleep apnea in commercial truck drivers.
